Congratulations to one of our exceptional clients in South Carolina. The Crossings at Columbia celebrated their grand opening with an open house and a special ribbon cutting event.
Festivities included informative community tours, delectable gourmet fare, and musical entertainment provided by local talent and high school bands.
Special guests included state and local dignitaries with written remarks provided by Nikki Haley, Governor of South Carolina.
The celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony commemorated the newly opened and maintenance-free licensed assisted living community, which has been designed to provide support for those in need of assistance performing their daily activities.
The 68,000 square-foot assisted living community features 66 spacious one- or two bedroom and studio designed assisted living apartment homes. The 22 suite memory care neighborhood, Harmony Square, is devoted to those individuals with various memory impairments. The Crossings at Columbia provides onsite physical, occupational, and speech rehabilitation therapies, a variety of health and wellness programs, recreational activities, transportation, and housekeeping.
The new development has provided 100 new jobs and represents a nearly $11 million investment by Smith/Packett, a family-owned real estate development company and Harmony Senior Services, a fully-integrated management services company in Roanoke, Virginia.
“Our goal has always been to develop outstanding projects that serve the communities in which they are located, create new and better jobs for local residents, and continue to make investments that spur economic growth and activity. The Crossings at Columbia continues this commitment,” James R. Smith, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Smith/Packett said.
