Making a Difference in the Community

Our senior living clients not only make a difference in the lives of seniors, they make a significant impact within their local communities.

Herb and Fran Barnett are the first of nearly a dozen people that will start an exciting new chapter in their lives by moving into fully-customized homes within a 37-acre gated campus called The Farms at Bailey Station in Collierville, Tennessee.

Memphis-based Retirement Companies of America (RCA), the development company for The Farms at Bailey Station, chose Collierville as the location for the state-of-the-art housing and lifestyle amenities designed for senior adults.  As a result, millions of dollars will be reinvested in the community based on RCA’s decision to build their $200 million project there.

“Not only is it rewarding to know that we are able to make a substantial difference for the more than 500 citizens that choose to reside here, the senior living community is making such a positive impact on the community as a whole.  This endeavor will be responsible for creating 200+ jobs, making The Farms at Bailey Station the third largest employer in the Town of Collierville, Michelle Trammell-Vincent, senior vice president of RCA, proudly said.

Client’s Event Features Famous Chefs

Michael Hudman and Andrew Ticer, owners of three popular eateries in east Memphis, are well-known throughout the culinary world.  Their restaurants, Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen, Hog & Hominy, and Porcellino’s, have joined the “best of the best” roster for exceptional dining experiences alongside other “must not miss” food stops in New York, Atlanta, and San Francisco.  The dynamic duo has created quite a buzz by mixing Southern flair with their Italian heritage, a distinct combination that stands out in their signature recipes.

Another Successful Client Event

Anstey Hodge recently worked with The Farms at Bailey Station as they sponsored a forum that featured nationally known senior living expert, John Spooner.

As the co-CEO for Irving, Texas-based Greystone Communities, a premier management and consulting firm focused on senior living communities, Spooner has been an instrumental leader with Greystone as they have served more than 350 senior living clients within 46 states.

During the educational session held in Memphis, Tennessee, Spooner discussed the current trends and the future challenges expected to affect more than 71.5 million seniors during the next decade.

“Sneak Peak” at Memphis Zoo Creates a Splash

Who can resist a cute baby or a snuggly animal?  A cute baby animal is certainly a winning combination.

Anstey Hodge was excited to assist a client in planning a special “behind the scenes” event at the Memphis Zoo.  The timing could not have been more perfect as a baby hippopotamus was born there last month.

Overlooking beautiful waterfalls, streams, and gardens, Dr. Chuck Brady, president and CEO of the Memphis Zoo, gave invited guests a historical perspective of the zoo, in addition to providing insight into the future of one of Tennessee’s top tourist attractions.

The event took place within their newest exhibit, the Zambezi River Hippo Camp, which coincidentally housed the baby hippo waiting to make her public debut on Friday, April 7.  Timing was everything for the lucky attendees as they got an exclusive “sneak peak” at the 76-pound baby girl.  The event was part of the Class Acts Distinguished Speaker Series sponsored by the mid-South’s newest LifeCare community, The Farms at Bailey Station.

Many thanks to Local 24/CW30/Fox 16 for their coverage of the event.
