Tailgate Tuesday at Anstey Hodge

The Hamilton family recently treated the Anstey Hodge crew to a “tailgate” lunch on a perfect November day.  The staff gathered in the Anstey Hodge parking lot to enjoy the warm weather, casual conversation and some delicious food provided by Executive Vice President Angela Hamilton, “chef” Robert and his assistant “little dude.”

We were missing David Hodge, but we look forward to him being back with us soon.

John Anstey Wins Prestigious Silver Medal Award

Congratulations to our very own Anstey Hodge principal and CEO, John Anstey, as the recipient of the prestigious 2016 Silver Medal Award, advertising’s highest honor and a lifetime achievement award, presented by the American Advertising Federation (AAF).  John was honored during a ceremony held at Charter Hall in downtown Roanoke Thursday evening.
The AAF Silver Medal Award Program was established in 1959 to recognize men and women who have made outstanding contributions to their company, their community, and who have also been active in furthering the industry’s advertising and community involvement standards.
John is the second member of the Anstey Hodge team to receive the distinguished award.  David Hodge, principal and chief creative officer, was awarded the Silver Medal for his vast industry accomplishments in 2007. Of special note, tonight’s ceremony marks the 50th anniversary of the AAF Roanoke Chapter Silver Medal program, which awarded its first medal in 1966.

A “Big Splash” for Tel Hai Life Magazine

“Tel Hai Life,” a magazine created by Anstey Hodge, made a “big splash” with the judges of the 24th annual National Mature Media Awards program.  A silver award was presented to Tel Hai Retirement Community. Located in Honey Brook, Pennsylvania, the community distributes their award-winning publication on a quarterly basis.

“Tel Hai Life,” a quarterly magazine created by Anstey Hodge, is the recipient of a silver award through The National Mature Media Awards, the nation’s largest recognition program for best marketing, communications, educational materials and programs for adults age 50 and older.

The magazine, produced for Tel Hai Retirement Community in Honey Brook, Pennsylvania, centers on all aspects of life at the community, outreach efforts, social accountability, philanthropy and resident experiences.

Advertising Campaign Receives Silver Award

Brandon Oaks has been recognized with a silver award through the National Mature Media Awards in the category of advertising and marketing.  The “Where I Live” campaign was created by Anstey Hodge.

The campaign was developed to focus on three or four residents and their lifestyle and interests within the community.  Instead of saying “Brandon Oaks is Where I Live,” the word “Brandon Oaks” is replaced with one word that is the essence of each particular resident, for example “Wonderful is Where I Live, Active is Where I Live, Passion is Where I Live,” etc.  The singular words are meaningful and were discovered during the individual interviews with selected residents.  In addition, the words capture the qualities of Brandon Oaks and serves to promote the strengths and integrity of the senior living community.
